I remember when I was a child, I would sit for hours with my sketchpad and pencil, lost in the stories and illustrations of my favorite books. As I grew up, I never lost my love for drawing, and I knew that I wanted to share my passion with others.
As a result of my experience facilitating workshops with the Animation Academy, Big Ideas Wales and the Pembrokeshire Schools Film and Animation Festival my aim now as a children's book illustrator is to show children how to bring their drawings to life with words and a story.
My goal is to make the workshops so much fun that children don't realise they're learning. They will practice reading and writing, but in a way that feels like play.
By the end of a full day's workshop children will create their very own picture book, full of colourful illustrations and an exciting adventure, which can be proudly shared with friends and family.
For me, there's no greater reward than seeing young children discover their own passion for art. I know that through these workshops, I can help inspire a new generation of artists and storytellers, and I couldn't be more proud of that.
